Thompson Child & Family Focus provides In-Service Training for Early Childhood Professionals to broaden their knowledge base of best practices. By expanding their knowledge, Early Childhood Professionals will be better equipped to impact the quality of their program.
- In order to accommodate all participants, please register by the deadline.
- If a participant is unable to attend, we request that you cancel your registration as soon as possible.
- Participation is FREE and limited to Early Childhood Professionals in Cabarrus County
- 2.0 hours of credit will be issued to participants
- Trainings start promptly at 6:30 p.m.

March 15, 2012: Early Signs of Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome
Participants will discuss the early signs of Autism and Asperger’s syndrome as well as discuss the similarities and differences between the two. Teachers will also have the chance to dialogue about some practical strategies that work well with children with difficult behaviors.
Registration begins 02/09/12 and ends 03/08/12.
April 26, 2012: Reflecting Children’s Cultural Identity
This training will explore some of the challenges and joys of working in the diverse classroom. Teachers will be given the chance to participate in culturally diverse activities as well as brainstorm and take away some activities to their classrooms.
Registration begins 03/27/12 and ends 04/19/12.
May 24, 2012: The Inclusive Classroom
This training will help participates recognize what an inclusive classroom looks like and provide ways to achieve an inclusive environment.
Registration begins 04/25/12 and ends 05/17/12.
