Community Support Services

It is believed that children and families should be able to receive treatment, counseling and referrals all in one place. Thompson Community Support Services provides specialized structures that assist children in transitioning successfully into home, school and community settings.

Thompson Community Support Services is designed to assist youth, 17 years old or younger, and their caregivers in achieving and maintaining a family-centered environment.

Program highlights:

  • Services provided throughout the Charlotte-Metro region.
  • Services are provided to clients ages 3 to 18 who
    are at risk for significant psycho-social difficulties, atypical development, and/or serious emotional disturbance.
  • Services are designed to provide specialized support to assist children in maintaining and/or transitioning to home, school, and community settings.
  • Clients receive treatment, counseling, and
    referrals for necessary supports all in one place.

Family Involvement is an essential component of the services we provide. Thompson focuses on the relationship of the parent and child utilizing therapeutic and relationship building strategies to lead children and families to independent and rewarding lives.
