Early Childhood Programs

Outreach Network in North and South Carolina

The Thompson Early Childhood Outreach program helps to address the need for higher quality care in North Carolina by building professional relationships with other childcare providers in a three-county region.

Thompson partners with other providers in three areas:
1) program quality improvement, 2) inclusion of children with special needs and 3) family education and engagement. These relationships are the vehicle by which other centers can assess their own programmatic strengths and weaknesses, as well as receive individualized technical assistance, hands-on consultation, and observation opportunities and on-site support. Outreach strategies are designed to help centers earn more stars and/or be successful in applying for national accreditation.

Thompson strengthens the childcare initiative experience, overall programmatic credibility, daily operational immersion, staff commitment and, most importantly, the passion to improve child development.
