Children's Needs
The boys and girls of Thompson play, create, celebrate birthdays, and go on field trips throughout the year. Below is a list of our most current needs. The list is not all-inclusive, so please contact us if you have other items to donate. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept used items unless noted below. Furniture Needs: We are currently seeking:
- bedroom suite, queen-sized
- bedroom set, twin size for a boy
- coffee table
- kitchen table and four chairs
- set bunk beds
- child size table & chairs
- sofas in excellent condition

- Food Lion's Shop and Share:
Each time you shop at Food Lion and use your MVP card, a portion of your total grocery purchase will be donated to Thompson. To sign up, call Food Lion Customer Service at 704-633-8250, ext. 3810, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., or visit www.foodlion.com. Be ready to give your Food Lion MVP 12-digit number, name, address and telephone number. Be sure to state that Thompson Child & Family Focus is your designated organization.
- Harris Teeter’s Together in Education:
Shop at Harris Teeter, use your VIC card, and a portion of your grocery bill will be donated. Link your Harris Teeter VIC card to The School at Thompson in any of their grocery stores or on the website, www.harristeeter.com. The Thompson code is 3950 and is listed under Matthews, NC. Your VIC card must be re-linked every school year for money to be received by Thompson.
- Target’s Take Charge of Education: Through Target’s Take Charge of Education program, you can designate your Red cards so a percentage goes to Thompson. Our code is 126366 and we are listed as the School at Thompson.
- Cambell's Labels for Education:
Save labels from participating brands which include Campbell's, Franco-American, Pace, Pepperidge Farms, Swanson and V-8. Please see www.labelsforeducation.com for more information. Labels may be mailed to:
