School-Based Intervention Therapy (SBIT) reaches out to students in a natural setting – their current school.
Most students are referred by school staff and display academic/developmental, behavioral, social/emotional, environmental or cultural difficulties affecting individual mental health. Thompson’s clinical specialists, the family and school staff all work together to build student success in school.
Our therapists have small caseloads of 12 to 24 students within one or two schools, visiting students weekly and meeting families at least once a month at home or school.
