Seminar Objectives :

  • Understand needs/experiences of GLBT youth
  • Understand the concepts of sex, gender, and sexual orientation
  • Gain skills for supporting individual youth who are coming out / struggling with their sexual or gender identity.

Credit information:

  • Charlotte AHEC has approved this activity for continuing Education Units (CEU’s). Participant must attend 100 % of seminar. No partial credit will be given. This program will provide 0.6 CEUs. Charlotte AHEC is an approved provider of the National Board of Certified Counselors and abides by the NBCC Continuing Education Guidelines (Provider #5096).
  • This program will provide 6.0 Contact Hours NBCC. Charlotte AHEC is an approved provider by the North Carolina Psychology Board and designates Contact Hours (category A) for North Carolina Psychologists.
