Day Treatment - The School at Thompson (Southeast Charlotte)

Located on a beautiful 40-acre campus on the outskirts of Charlotte, North Carolina, The School at Thompson combines therapeutic and academic experiences in a year-round program for children, Kindergarten through Middle School.

Program highlights:

  • Day Treatment Educational Services, integrating therapeutic and academic supports, provided to children grades Kindergarten through Middle School by certified Faculty with a 1:3 staff to child ratio allowing for“hands on” learning experiences.
  • Diverse therapeutic strategies including occupational, speech, pet, art, recreational, and music therapies.
  • Certified Director of Educational Services oversees a school curriculum that correlates to the North Carolina Standard Course of Study and utilizes Title I resources to enhance students’ educational processes.

Standardized student assessments in Math, Reading, and Writing as well as other academic areas to determine educational needs and measure progress.
Volunteers serving as tutors provide one-on-one assistance to boost academic success for students in need.
