Tweet a 20
It’s been said that it takes a village to raise a child. Truth is, it takes a village and lots of cash to help heal and bring hope to a child who’s been traumatized by sexual abuse, domestic violence or rampant neglect. Thompson Child & Family Focus has been providing education, treatment and support for almost 125 years – changing children’s lives and helping guide fragile families toward a better future, but the work is intensive and costly.
On Tuesday, May 11, a group of 10 Charlotte tweeps will help raise funds and awareness by attending Thompson’s Annual Portraits of Courage Luncheon, and asking friends in Twittersphere to donate $20 (or more) to help change the life of a child. Each $20 contributor will be entered into a drawing; winner will receive two tickets to WICKED at Ovens Auditorium.
Thompson is spreading its wings with this social media pilot project, so we welcome your support and feedback.
