Nurse Manager:  St. Peter’s Lane Campus - Matthews, NC

Thompson Child and Family Focus has an opening for a Nurse Manager at our Matthews campus. With help from the nursing staff and psychiatrist, this person will oversee the medical needs of up to 24 clients ages 6 – 13 in our psychiatric residential treatment facility.  This person will be responsible for supervising 4 full-time nurses as well as a staff of 3 PRNs.  Duties will include scheduling the nursing staff to cover 12 hour shifts for 24 hour, around the clock care; being on-call as needed for scheduling issues and policy/procedure questions that may arise; keeping staff in compliance with PRTF regulations and training; monitoring and ordering nursing and medical supplies as needed; interviewing potential new hires when there are open positions and training all new nursing staff. This person will oversee medication administration by nursing and other PRTF staff, ensuring TCFF policies and procedures are observed. This person will be responsible for annually reviewing policies and procedures related to nursing (or as needed). A BSN degree from an accredited school of nursing with a current licensure to practice as an RN in North Carolina is required with supervisory experience preferred. Experience in pediatrics or psychiatry preferred.  Valid NC driver’s license and clean driving record required. The Family Partner must be a parent/caregiver of a child who has received services; therefore demonstrating first-hand experience in the child serving system. The Family Partner must be nationally certified or approaching national certification as a Parent Support Provider to ensure ability to work with families who have children transitioning back to the home and community from a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility. Residential Floater:  St. Peter’s Lane Campus - Matthews, NC

Seeking an energetic, positive, and structured individual that will be responsible for the supervision of youth between the ages of 6-13 with mental health diagnosis and emotional and behavioral challenges. In this entry level position the residential floater is responsible for providing a safe therapeutic home setting in a positive consistent and structured environment.  This includes mental health support and documentation based on service goals and plans for each consumer. HSD or GED, or Associate’s Human Services Degree with a minimum of 2 years of population specific experience required. Part-Time Registered Nurse:  St. Peter’s Lane Campus - Matthews, NC

Thompson is looking for a part time Registered Nurses (RN) to work in our psychiatric residential treatment facility. Duties will include medication administration, record keeping, responding to client medical needs. The RN is responsible for working directly with the physician, psychiatrist, and nurse practitioner to provide professional nursing care. Candidate must be a graduate from an accredited School of Nursing and have current licensure to practice as an RN, or temporary license as a RN Practitioner in the state of NC. RN with pediatric and/or mental health experience preferred. Qualified RN candidates that can work flexible 12 hour shifts (6A-6P and 6P-6A) and some weekends. Therapist-CCC: Community Counseling Center (CCC) - Fort Mill, SC

Thompson Child and Family Focus is seeking a therapist to provide part-time mental health services in an outpatient setting. Therapists are expected to provide diagnostic assessments, case management, and individual, family, and group therapy utilizing evidence-based theories. Qualified candidates must be willing to collaborate with referring agencies, coordinate services from intake through termination, and travel to provide services at different locations within the Fort Mill area, including some services provided to clients in local public schools. Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work or Counseling. Valid license to practice independently in South Carolina as a Licensed Independent Social Worker-Clinical Practice (LISW-CP), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Psychologist, or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). If fully licensed, must be able and willing to become empaneled with Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and prefer paneling with other commercial insurances preferably including Cigna, Magellan, UBH, etc. Must have a valid SC Driver’s License with clean driving record, and meet credentialing and privileging standards.
