Tamara is part of the original Friends of the Children – Charlotte cohort. After being held back a year, she is about to start fifth grade. Having a consistent, positive role model in Tamara’s life helped her identify and focus on her long-term goals. She improved her determination and works hard at school, screening out many distractions. Tamara significantly improved her test scores this past school year. The 2Gen initiative helped support the entire family – improving Tamara’s stability and security at home.
