Holiday Giving

you can help

the holidays are an important time to create memories

Donations are essential year-round, but your support means even more during the holidays. This season, we’re working to bring joy to nearly 2,500 households, aiming to raise $100 per child to make their Christmas unforgettable. Whether big or small, any donation will make a difference – and with your generosity, you can be part of creating holiday magic.

While many children look forward to toys and gifts this holiday season, the children we serve at Thompson also need fundamental wishes — warm socks, clean t-shirts, comfortable pants, and a jacket to keep them cozy. Your support helps meet these most basic needs year-round and reminds them they are not forgotten.

gift card drive

This holiday season, help us bring smiles to children across the Carolinas by participating in our Holiday Gift Card Drive! Thompson is proud to serve kids throughout North and South Carolina, and your donation of a gift card—big or small—goes directly toward brightening the holidays for a child who might otherwise go without.

Gift cards will be accepted at our main office in Matthews.

share the spirit: get involved this holiday season

Looking for additional ways to give back this holiday season? There are plenty of other Thompson initiatives that you can participate in.

other ways to give

A few other ways you can help support are through match gifting programs and donor-advised funds (DAFs).

Match gifting programs are initiatives where an employee donates to a qualified nonprofit, and their employer makes a corresponding donation to the same nonprofit. Check with your employer to see if they have any parameters for match gifting programs!

DAFs are charitable investment accounts that allow individuals to make tax-deductible contributions of cash, securities, or other assets to a public charity.
