who we serve and where we serve

TYS is designed for youth who fall between traditional outpatient services and more restrictive levels of care—and who can remain safely placed when stabilization, regulation and caregiver capacity are restored.

TYS services are currently available in North Carolina, specifically in Wake, Buncombe, and Jackson counties; the Upstate, Midlands, and Peedee areas of South Carolina; and Hillsborough County, Florida.

stability produces results

By stabilizing the highest-acuity youth, TYS protects system capacity, reduces workforce strain and helps contain costs while improving outcomes. Stability produces results that benefit both youth and systems of care:

Significant reduction in crisis-driven placements

Improved foster parent confidence and retention

Decreased caseworker fatigue and burnout

Reduced use of restrictive interventions and escalation
