Our Placement Stabilization Services (TPSU) collaborates closely with the Department of Social Services (DSS) to create tailored teams that address the unique needs of each youth and community we serve. We aim to

who we serve and where we serve

Our program supports youth of all ages experiencing placement instability or those at risk of instability, including those struggling with behavioral disorders or requiring additional support. This includes youth involved in adoption, family preservation, or investigation cases who need stability and resources to thrive. TPSU services are currently available in North Carolina, specifically in Wake, Buncombe, and Jackson counties; the Upstate, Midlands; and Hillsborough County, Florida.

Thompson is here to help, no matter who you’re reaching out for — yourself, a loved one, someone under your supervision, or a person in your professional care.

A member of our team will respond within 48 hours. TAPP works in collaboration with agencies that interact with at-risk youth. Referrals can be made by:

Social Workers

Program specific forms may also be required, and will be sent to you for completion as required.
