The Importance of Normalizing Mental Health Treatment Discussions – An Interview with Therapy Program Supervisor Katie Robinson

In this interview, we sit with School-Based Mental Health Therapist Katie Robinson to learn more about Thompson’s approach to mental health services.

The School-Based Mental Therapy program is an in-school counseling service for school-aged children, in partnership with Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. This program allows children to better cope with the challenges of daily life and traumas they may face in their environments. Outpatient Services, which offers counseling services to individuals, families, couples and groups of any ages, is not limited to youth, and helps those it serves to feel empowered to makes changes in life. Both programs have shown measurable improvement in the overall mental health of those they service.
