Cherish Fields

Operations Director Cherish Fields joined Thompson in July 2021. She oversees the Crisis Stabilization Programs at our Matthews and Fayetteville campuses. Prior to Thompson, Cherish worked in the Child Welfare field for over 12 years mainly within the nonprofit sector with experience in both micro and macro level work.

Cherish earned her Master’s in Social Work with a concentration in Management of Health and Human Services from the University of Michigan – School of Social Work. She is fueled by her passion to see high quality programs and services offered to children and their families who encounter the child welfare system – not to just change their lives but to create generational lasting impact. She aspires to be a leader that inspires others to grow against the grain and commit to standard of excellence for our children and youth.
