    Daniel’s RISE journey

    Daniel’s RISE journey

Daniel loves art and wants to paint murals – it gives him an escape from his struggles. He was living with his grandparents, however after assaulting his grandmother, he was forced to move to Charlotte to live with his mother and siblings. These aggressive outbursts continued, and he also began a pattern of property damage. His distress led to several hospitalizations due to attempts to harm himself, or others.

Daniel and his family first received Intensive In-home therapy to work on more positive behavior, and then Daniel started in our RISE program. Daniel’s success has been based on our therapists building a relationship of trust with him – being a consistent, reliable source of support that holds him accountable – coaching him towards better life skills to help him attain his goals.
